If you work at a desk, 'fixing' your posture in one go doesn't work; you need small interventions you can keep up all day. **1) Put your weight on your sitting bones** When you sit, place your hips back, onto your sitting bones. The lower back finds its natural curve and the spine carries itself. **2) Screen at eye level** If you use a laptop, get an external keyboard and raise the monitor to eye level. If your neck drops, you're already fighting it. **3) A micro-break every 45 minutes** You don't have to get up — stand, open the shoulders out to the sides, take a deep breath. 60 seconds is enough. These three things noticeably reduce the chronic tension in your lower back within 3 weeks.
